Comparison of the California Department of Public Health and EPA Protocols for Determination of Ultrafiltration Module Log Removal Values

This paper discusses the US EPA Membrane Filtration Guidance Manual and the differences involved the selection of modules for challenge testing. The various test methods are compared and contrasted. The conclusion is to harmonize these protocols, offering manufacturers both NSF certification and data to submit for CDPH approval from the same suite of tests.
